Responsibilities of the Ideal Candidate: 


 

In this position, you'll work on both the front-end and back-end of our platform. You will be responsible of the development and architecture of our platform. This role is ideal for well-rounded, ambitious developers who are always looking for new challenges and looking to lead the tech front of a startup.

  • Develop and implement highly-responsive user interface components using React concepts;

  • Develop and implement front-end architecture to support user interface concepts;

  • Monitor and improve front-end performance;

  • Develop back-end and build databases;

  • Document application changes and develop updates;

  • Transform design concepts into design assets for development;

  • Apply knowledge and advanced skills with visual design, user experience and appropriate web design and development technologies;

  • Collaborate with functional areas to ensure the integrity of the design requirements and the translation of wire frames into optimal user experience;

  • Provide feedback to improve the quality of the product and reduce the complexity of the user interface;

  • Design, write, test and deploy scalable and reusable code and libraries for future use;

  • Rapid prototyping of design concepts;

  • Develop high performance, scalable development;

  • Work with other departments to ensure high quality and timely delivery;

  • Lead efforts to deploy new and existing applications into AWS environments;

  • Accurately estimate the time it takes to design, write, and test our project;

  • Maintain standards of security, reliability, performance, and quality;

  • Participate in code reviews, attend regular team meetings, and apply software development best practices;

  • Help shape our technical roadmap as we scale our services and build new products.

 

Qualifications:

​

You need to have skills in developing powerful websites/web applications in React. You have a passion for web development and want to part of a next generation platform team. You will need to jump in and begin to contribute quickly. 

 

You MUST have experience in web development using a react framework. You are looking for a position with growth opportunities, where you will have the support of an equally talented and motivated team all pulling in the same direction.

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering degree;

  • 3+ years of software development experience;

  • 2+ years of development experience with MongoDB, React, NodeJS, NPM libraries, Express, and Typescript 

  • Experience developing responsive, accessible websites and front-end performance optimization

  • Passionate about strong, reusable, and structured code

  • Ability to give/receive constructive feedback in a positive way 

  • Ability to speak up and share ideas 

  • Ability to deliver on clear, shared expectations

  • Strong communication skills

  • Working knowledge of AWS, Google Firebase, TestLab;

  • Coding for web environment;

  • Understanding of cross-platform design principles;

  • Superior critical thinking, analytical, evaluation and problem solving skills;

  • Self-directed and proactive, work collaboratively with team members and independently; thinks beyond the immediate problem;

  • Willing to learn and master new technologies;

  • Must have a valid passport and no issues travelling to other countries (dependent on government issued travel restrictions).
